Coordinate a Trike-A-Thon for St. Jude

With locations in downtown Columbus, Ohio, and its suburb of Hilliard, City Kids Daycare offers childcare throughout the year to support parents in the workforce. City Kids Daycare also contributes to groups that benefit children, such as the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's Trike-A-Thon.

The St. Jude Children's Research Hospital exists to provide care for children with cancer and other serious diseases, regardless of income, religion, or race. The Trike-A-Thon, one of its fundraising events, supplies funds for treatment as well as research efforts.

Those interested in coordinating a Trike-A-Thon simply register as coordinators on the St. Jude's fundraising website and manage the event online. Throughout the event, coordinators teach participating children how to safely ride tricycles using the curriculum provided and collect donations.

The fundraiser ends with the special Trike-A-Thon. This final event celebrates the funds raised and includes prizes for the children who show off the skills they learned.

About City Kids Daycare

Founded by owner Patricia Elam, City Kids Daycare provides childcare arrangements for families in and around Columbus, Ohio. Staff members oversee a smaller number of children than required by the state of Ohio so children receive attentive, hands-on care. City Kids Daycare strives to promote emotional well-being, stimulate intellectual curiosity, and establish strong social values. It also encourages students to work independently, cooperate with others, and accept responsibility.

All teachers employed by City Kids Daycare fulfill certification requirements in child abuse prevention, first aid, CPR, and communicable disease management. In addition, they take 15 hours per year of child development in-service training. The downtown facility, which operates from 6:30 a.m. through 6:30 p.m., has teachers that have almost 200 combined years of experience in education and childcare. The facility in Hilliard, which is open from 6:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., houses a preschool with age-appropriate academic curriculum. Teachers there have more than 125 years of teaching and childcare experience.

Throughout the year, City Kids Daycare supports numerous charitable organizations, including Toys for Tots, the Ohio Food Bank, and Saint Jude’s Hospital.
